She's Pregnant - What Now?
WHAT MEN NEED TO KNOW

You thought you were being responsible and were trying to be careful. Now she says, “I’m pregnant. What are we gonna do?” Just “having sex” has just gotten really complicated and now at least 3 people are involved: you, her, and the child she now carries. Though the ultimate choice is hers, you still have a choice as to how you respond. Your response will help define the man you are and hoped to be.  So, “What are you gonna do? Who are you gonna be?”

BEFORE SHE DECIDES

  • Listen - The situation involves three lives to think about – you, her, and the baby. So you need to try to listen to her which will make her more likely to listen to you.
  • Stay Calm – Getting upset or angry will only make things worse. You're not the first couple ever to be in this spot. There are answers.
  • Talk about It- Sharing with people who can genuinely help you can reduce the stress.

AND
  • Don't Run - The more you run, the harder it will be to think and act clearly.
  • Don't Pressure Her – Both of you need to work together.  Applying pressure will push her away and possibly into a worse situation.
  • Don't Forget – This is a new life; a life that started at conception. It wasn’t that long ago you were that small too.
