When a community member seeks partnership for a woman or family in crisis, it is our goal to provide a smooth and efficient means of communication with the Pregnancy Aid Clinic team to discern how we can work together as servants of Christ.
What is PAC SOS? PAC SOS is a program which provides swift and efficient communication pathways for our community members seeking immediate and ongoing pregnancy resource services for a woman they are serving.
In our SOS partnership, we stress the need to be: 1) Client-focused 2) HIPAA-compliant 3) Charitable with each other and the client 4) Non-judgmental of the client 5) Accepting of God’s providence over all of our work
FOR URGENT SERVICES: Send an email to [email protected] with a request for services. If the request is considered urgent for an immediate need, the SOS coordinator will respond to your request within 30 minutes during business hours to acknowledge the request and provide next steps.
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS VERY HELPFUL TO HAVE WHEN MAKING AN URGENT REQUEST Subject Line: Urgent need for Medical Services • Community members name, phone number, email (if other than ‘from’ email) • Current location • Nature of the request (medical services, advocacy, REACH) • Preferred PAC location • Approximate appointment time request/anticipated time of arrival • Cell phone number and first initial and last name of the prospective client, (if you have client approval) • Optional, brief narrative of the situation as approved by prospective client including:
Approximate LMP (last menstrual period)
Non-English/ Spanish-only speaker (y/n)
Special circumstances
Accompanied by FOB (father of baby) (y/n) or significant other (y/n)
Note: Client must have valid photo ID
The SOS coordinator will be the responsible liaison between the clinic staff and the community member, making every effort to schedule in the urgent request in the time frame requested. If PAC’s resources are not available that day for any reason, the SOS coordinator will advise on options.
THE SOS APPOINTMENT: The client will call PAC to confirm her appointment and informed she needs to have a valid photo ID with her When the client arrives at the clinic, all standard clinic protocol (including COVID screening) will take place, ensuring the client’s rights of privacy and private consultation between the PAC advocate and the client If client requests that someone be present during the ultrasound (only one person allowed), the client willsign a consent form. That person must have valid photo ID.
SOS FOLLOW UP: If the community member feels it important to communicate relevant information about their work with that client to the PAC staff, that can be done through the [email protected] email.
PAC’s SOS coordinator will serve as the conduit between the community member and the PAC client advocate assigned to the “SOS” client.
PAC is obligated, through HIPAA to protect all client information regarding the initial appointment and any follow up conversations.
Note: PAC is not a broad-scale provider of free social services, nor are we certified social workers. We are a mission-driven medical clinic with the goal of protecting the unborn through a variety of tools and partnerships in the community.
